When James first touched a camera at 15 years old, he knew he had found the calling that would guide him for the rest of his life. He honed his skills behind the lens at Brooklyn College, from which he graduated with a BA in Film Production and won the Best Cinematography Award for his work on a thesis film in 2017.
Since then, he has had the good fortune to work as director of photography on compelling narratives, music videos, commercials, interviews, and more. He is the staff director of Photography for Mander Film Media.
James’s greatest joy in this craft is collaborating with directors and giving life to stories that need to be told.
